A resident of Rio de Janeiro since 2011, Nick finally succumbed to irresistible lure of the world’s greatest cricket club and joined in 2014.  Queensland, Australian by birth and accent only, his cricketing abilities defy the lofty status of his nation, and although having never been seen to drop a beer, has trouble even holding the easiest of catches.  Despite this, he managed to assume the presidency in 2018, and since then has presided over a period of growth in membership numbers and seen the social side of the club become inclusive for both players and non-players.

Tobias joined the CCC within weeks of its founding in 2011 and soon joined the CCC Committee in charge of getting sponsorship. He performed adequately in the victorious CCC XI which won the Nationals in 2013, and his cricketing talent has been woefully overestimated ever since. CCC Chairman since 2015, when during the “night of the long knives” he ousted the previous leadership, and has acted like a tyrannical dictator ever since. Tobias lived in Rio for 17 years, but now lives in temporary exile in the Channel Islands drinking sloe gin and making rock sculptures.

Our Captain Cam, also from Queensland Australia, joined us in February 2021. He was riding a bike around Lagoa and had to rub his eyes when he saw people playing cricket. One thing lead to another and he has been the captain of the CCC since May 2021. He has been playing cricket since he was a kid, but never thought he’d be playing in the Cidade Maravilhosa! Cam grew up on a diet of Vegemite, Punter and Warnie. Hobbies include hacking the ball to cow corner and playing for his batting average. Favourite bird: Eagle. Least favourite bird: Golden Duck.
